How to access TeamViewer Endpoint Protection

TeamViewer's Endpoint Protection service can be accessed in TeamViewer Remote or via the web app on the Remote Management tab.

How to view a specific device's protection status

The recommended method to access a specific device's status is through the device drawer. This is done by clicking the device name on the Device tab of TeamViewer Remote, or within device list. The drawer will open on the right; select the tab with square crosshair to access the Asset Management information for the device.

TeamViewer Endpoint Protection is broken into the following sections:

  • Devices
  • Detections
  • Quarantine
  • Reporting

Devices

Devices shows the current status of all endpoints currently protected. A list of all devices is provided, as well as a quick-view of the number of endpoints that are currently infected, safe, or need attention.

Selecting the three-dot drop-down menu on the Devices tab provides additional capabilities:

Show Details

Show details provides a quick overview of the current status of the device. This includes:

  • Policy applied
  • Malwarebytes device name and group
  • Detections
  • Suspicious activity

Note: Suspicious activity is only available with an Endpoint Detection and Response license

Show details also provides the ability to uninstall Endpoint Protection from an individual device:

Detections

Detections provides an overview of all threats detected on your endpoints, as well as the ability to copy the direct path of the file or create an exclusion, in the event of a false detection.

The following information is provided about each threat:

  • Status
  • Category
  • Threat
  • Device and Device group
  • Scan date

The Detections tab also provides the ability to set the Advanced Settings in the upper right corner, which takes you to Malwarebytes Nebula Console.

Quarantine

Quarantined files are detections that match a certain signature or other potential threat detail, but may be a false positive. In the event that a potential threat is quarantined this tab provides you the ability to Restore or Delete the file.

How to export reports

TeamViewer's Endpoint Protection solution provides a multitude of reports catered to provide you the information you need when you need it. To create a report, navigate to the reporting tab of Endpoint Protection and select +Create report in the upper left corner.

Create a name for the report, and select the type of report required. Input the desired time zone and click Continue.

If you would like the report to automatically create, enter the desired schedule (Monthly, daily, or weekly). You can also set it to on-demand so that it only runs when you need it to.

Set the desired reporting period - that is, the dates to be included in the report. You can set a pre-defined period for each report or manually enter the periods each time you run the requested report.

On the final step, add the recipients to receive the report. Click Create to finalize and run the initial report.

Generate and send report

Regardless of an on-demand or scheduled report, you can run any report on-demand by selecting the desired report and clicking ↻ Generate and send report.
