The TeamViewer Host app for Android allows for remote control of unattended Android devices, ensuring access to the device even when no one is nearby.
Devices using the custom Android Host app are automatically added to the correct groups upon installation.
1. Sign in to the Management Console with your licensed account. Select Design & Deploy on the left, and from the + drop-down at the top, select Android Host.
2. Set a name for the custom app and the desired group the devices should reside in. Select Save to finalize the creation.
Leaving the toggle Use Managed Group assignment will assign the Android Host directly to the new device management system. In the Assignments menu, you can define the group to which the device will be added.
Turning off the toggle will assign the Android Host to the old device management system. We strongly recommend assigning your devices to the new device management system to ensure you benefit from the best device management capabilities and user experience.
A configuration link will be displayed. You can also customize the extension of the URL by clicking the pencil icon to the right of the URL.
Once the custom Android Host app is created, you can share the link with any desired users. Once received, they simply load the URL in their browser by clicking the link.
If the TeamViewer Host app is already installed: The assignment of the device to the account that created the module will automatically occur and be confirmed after successful assignment.
If the TeamViewer Host app has not yet been installed: The link will prompt you to download and install the Android Host app from the Play Store. Upon installation of the app, return to the configuration link and open it again. The assignment of the device to the account that created the module will automatically occur and will be confirmed after successful assignment.
