Getting Started

Before you get started with installations, make sure you know your device by checking out this user manual for Rokid X-Craft.

The Rokid X-Craft can be operated using voice commands, gestures, a knob and a back button. 

You can operate the device by speaking the name of any control. To access the applications, you can say the application name and the corresponding screen will be launched or use the number assigned. For example, say SELECT ITEM 1 to select the item associated with the number 1. It is also possible to turn the knob to select items and to tap the knob to confirm. You can return to the previous page by pressing the back button and viewing the system shortcut menu with the long press.

Install Frontline Workplace

There are two ways to install the Frontline Workplace app on your device. 

  1. On the Rokid official website, go to the Rokid Apps section.
  2. Find the TeamViewer application and click on Download Now.
  3. Scan the QR code on the opened page using the “Quick Scan” app of the Rokid X-Craft glasses.

Note: To install the application this way, you need to connect your device to Wi-Fi. Here's how.

Alternatively, you can use an external screen mirroring application to view and control your device from a pc.  You can download Scrcpy for Windows and unzip it on your computer. Scrcpy is an open-source utility that provides display and control of an Android device from your computer. It is not created or maintained by TeamViewer.

1. Download the latest Frontline Workplace smart glasses application to your pc.

2. Unzip the bundle. Here, you will find the Frontline Workplace APK needed for installation.

Note: You might have to download and install 7-zip to enable unzipping the Frontline Workplace application bundle before accessing the APK file for installation.

3. Connect the Rokid X-Craft to your computer with a USB Type C cable.

4. If you can see the stream jump to Step 7, or else follow the next two steps.

5. Go to Settings -> System -> Developer Options (Advanced) and enable USB Debugging. Only after doing this, you could connect this device to your computer.

6. Navigate to the unzipped Scrcpy file folder, and double-click on the Scrcpy executable file to open the screen casting window.

7. Install Frontline Workplace by dragging and dropping the frontline-smartglasses-<version>.apk file directly onto the Rokid X-Craft screencast window.

⇒   After a few seconds, the Frontline Workplace application will appear on the main screen.

8. Open the Frontline Workplace application and enable the toggle for Allow from this source.

4. Enable the "Allow from this source" toggle and allow all other permission pop-ups when opening the Frontline Workplace application. This will prompt you to the Start Setup screen.

Note: To continue with the setup, connect to Wi-Fi and configure the Frontline Workplace to your server.
