With TeamViewer, you can remote control your Sony Bravia TV via the TeamViewer Host app.

This article applies to all customers who purchased the Mobile Device Support add-on.

How to set up TeamViewer Host on a Sony Bravia TV

To set up the TeamViewer Host app on your Sony Bravia TV, please follow the instructions below:

First, you will have to set up a pre-shared key. This will enable TeamViewer to communicate with your Sony Bravia TV. 

  1. On your TV, go to the Pro settings.
  2. Go to Local network setup.
  3. Click Pre-Shared Key.
  4. Define your pre-shared key.

The last step is to set up the TeamViewer Host app.

  1. Open the Google Play app and search for “TeamViewer Host”.
  2. Click Install, and once the app is installed, click Open.
  3. A request for special app access will appear. Click Settings.
  4. Enable the toggle to allow the Host app.
  5. Please follow the same steps for the alarms and reminders pop-up.
  6. You will be prompted to download an add-on. Click Download.
  7. Click Enable. You will be redirected to the accessibility settings.
  8. Under the Services section, click TeamViewer Universal Add-On.
  9. Confirm by clicking OK
  10. Enable the Universal add-on setting.
  11. Now, you will be prompted to enter the pre-shared key you defined earlier. Once this is done, click Send.
  12. Allow the Host to access the device by clicking Allow.
  13. Now, assign the TeamViewer Host to your account by entering your TeamViewer account credentials and clicking Assign.

Once you sign in, the TeamViewer Host app will be assigned to your TeamViewer account.

You can now connect and remote control your Sony Bravia TV.
