Göppingen, Germany – March 11, 2025 – TeamViewer, a global leader in remote connectivity and digital workplace solutions, has today announced a two-year partnership with F1 ACADEMY™, the all-female racing series with a mission to increase female representation in motorsport. Following on from the success of its SheSportTech initiative, the partnership will support TeamViewer’s ambition to drive meaningful change by inspiring and supporting gender equality, in addition to creating once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for customers and partners at races.
F1 ACADEMY will enter its third season in 2025, offering 18 female drivers an unparalleled platform to compete alongside Formula 1, and the best possible support to propel their progression to higher levels of competition. F1 ACADEMY also supports grassroots motorsport initiatives for women through F1 ACADEMY DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE™, a global initiative to increase participation in motorsport both on and off the track.
As an official partner, TeamViewer shares this vision to address gender representation, an issue faced by both the technology world and motorsports.
Susie Wolff, F1 ACADEMY Managing Director, said: “Our mission is all about breaking down barriers, on and off the track, and we’re proud to welcome TeamViewer as an Official Partner to support this. TeamViewer’s initiatives to support more inclusivity in sports, and particularly sports technology, highlights its commitment to embracing our vision. Together we will be a driving force behind opportunities for women in motorsport and fuel innovation both on and off the track.”
TeamViewer is the first technology partner of F1 ACADEMY and will support the series’ goal of empowering more women and girls to join the motorsports industry, whether as drivers, engineers, R&D or the many other roles available in the sport.
As part of the partnership, TeamViewer will create experiences for its customers, partners and community to see the F1 ACADEMY races in person and also support the Wild Card entry at Round 5 in Zandvoort, designing a special edition TeamViewer livery and race suit. In addition to a presence at the series’ seven rounds in 2025, TeamViewer will also help drive meaningful off-track conversations and support a community with a collective mission to accelerate change in the sport through participation in several Female Quotient events throughout the season.
Oliver Steil, CEO, TeamViewer commented on the partnership: “We are excited to be an Official Partner of F1 ACADEMY. The opportunity to overcome barriers and co-innovate with F1 ACADEMY will only grow as the series continues to gain traction and followers around the world. With its racing series and grassroots initiatives like F1 ACADEMY DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE, being a part of the journey to make motorsport more diverse, inclusive and accessible is one we are proud to be a part of.”
This partnership not only promotes inclusivity and diversity in motorsport but also the shared journey of women breaking into male-dominated fields, delivering transformative change in all arenas.
