TeamViewer hosts coding workshop for Code Week Germany at Göppingen headquarters

  • Sustainability and CSR
  • As part of Code Week Germany in Baden-Württemberg, TeamViewer was excited to open its doors to young tech enthusiasts, hosting a fun and engaging afternoon filled with coding, robotics, and Augmented Reality (AR) experiences at our Göppingen headquarters.

Code Week is a Europe-wide initiative designed to inspire young people to explore technology, learn the basics of coding, and develop valuable digital skills. By participating, companies, schools, and organizations provide hands-on workshops, creating accessible learning opportunities that promote digital literacy and spark interest in technology from a young age.

We welcomed over 20 kids to our headquarters, kicking off their visit with an introduction to TeamViewer and our technology. Our team also introduced them to block-based coding—a visual, beginner-friendly approach that helps kids understand the fundamentals of programming logic in an engaging way. Next, participants put their new skills to the test in our hands-on workshop, “Can You Escape the Maze?” Working in teams, they were challenged to program a robot’s escape route through a maze, encouraging problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. As a highlight of the day, our young guests also got a firsthand look at our AR solutions, discovering how digital innovation can blend with the physical world.

Why Code Week Matters to TeamViewer?

As a tech company, TeamViewer understands the importance of making technology accessible to all. Through our c-a-r-e sustainability framework, we are committed to initiatives that foster inclusivity and digital education. Our participation in Code Week supports our Access to Technology pillar, which seeks to provide the tools, skills, and resources needed to make tech a reality for everyone. By inspiring future generations, we’re investing in a digitally fluent society that can drive innovation and positive change.

Thank you to all the participants, parents, and our dedicated TeamViewer volunteers who made this day a success. We look forward to supporting more initiatives that encourage young minds to explore the limitless possibilities of technology!
