In TeamViewer, via the Inherit device group permissions to devices setting, you can streamline the management of manager permissions by applying group-level permissions to all devices within that group. This setting, enabled by company admins, ensures consistent permission settings across multiple devices, reducing the need for individual device configuration.

This article applies to Premium, Corporate, and Tensor license holders.

How to enable the setting

To enable the setting, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Sign in with your company administrator account within the client or via https://web.teamviewer.com/.
  2. Go to Admin settings.
  3. Within the Organization management section, click General.
  4. Enable the Inherit device group permissions to devices setting by clicking the respective toggle.

How to apply manager permissions at group level

Once enabled, you can set the manager permissions for each device group. These permissions will then automatically apply to all devices within the respective group.

To do so, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to Devices.
  2. Click the desired device group.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Go to Permissions.
  5. Go to Manager permissions.
  6. Select the desired permissions for the respective managers and click Save.
  7. Confirm the permissions update by clicking Save changes.

You have successfully applied the desired manager permissions to all devices within the respective group.
