TeamViewer’s Georg Beyschlag shares leadership insight with Authority Magazine

TeamViewer’s Georg Beyschlag assumed the role of Americas President in March 2023, making the move from Germany to our U.S. headquarters in Florida. After more than a year in his role, Georg spoke with Authority Magazine about lessons learned and insights gained that have helped him lead our Americas region to success.

Below, see an excerpt from the interview in which Georg shares five of the biggest lessons he’s learned over the past year:

1. Dysfunction among leadership can spread like poison across a company. A strong leadership team that is aligned on values and trusts one another is imperative to success.
2. Employees are more committed when they believe in a company’s product and mission. Leaders must invest in growing product knowledge — not just for sales reps, for everyone — while striving to create a purpose-driven culture.
3. Everyone communicates differently, which became especially apparent to me in moving from Germany to the U.S. Good leaders must learn how to effectively communicate to different groups of employees.
4. Having a team spread throughout North America has shown me the importance of getting people together in person. We regularly invite our remote employees to our U.S. hub for sales summits, trainings and team building events, and frequently send our leaders to where our remote teams are based. The importance of face time goes for meeting with customers as well.
5. Don’t be afraid to make changes. There will inevitably be some trial and error, but without change, there is no growth.
