NEW: TeamViewer 5.1 beta

New Features included in TeamViewer 5.1:

• Terminal Server support: TeamViewer can be configured to create an ID per user on server operating systems. With this new feature each Terminal Server user can be accessed remotely at the same time.
• Files can be transferred to the remote desktop by drag & drop on the remote control window
• Groups are matched also when searching in the partner list
• A new button in the remote toolbar simplifies switching between multiple remote monitors
• A new button is shown in the remote toolbar when the remote computer requests the input of the Ctrl+Alt+Del key combination
• The current computer is marked with "this computer" in the partner list

Further improvements:

• Unicode characters in e-mail templates are handled correctly
• Audio is transmitted to all presentation participants
• The Windows desktop gets locked correctly after a TeamViewer session
• All windows appear in the foreground if they were created through user interaction
• Several problems in file transfer were resolved

• An important innovation in TeamViewer 5 is the new VoIP (Voice over IP) audio and video capability. It enables you to talk to your customers for free andgive your sessions a more personal touch using a webcam.
• The packet prioritization that was specifically developed for TeamViewer ensures an optimal audio and video quality even if you are transferring files or if you are actively working on a remote desktop at the same time.
• That makes TeamViewer one of the few solutions on the market that allows VoIP and video across firewalls!

The new TeamViewer panel offers new features and more flexibility for all remote sessions - for support, presentations, trainings and online meetings:

• Application selection - share only selected applications instead of the whole desktop.
• Partner can't communicate over VoIP? No Problem - TeamViewer 5 has an integrated teleconferencing solution with access numbers in numerous countries (additional charges per minute apply for calling the access numbers).

Our additional solution for professional users, TeamViewer Manager, has been overhauled and improved as well:

Licenses, Updates, and Backward Compatibility

• TeamViewer 5 users are able to connect to TeamViewer 3 and 4 without any restrictions. The software is fully backward compatible.
• A connection from TeamViewer 3 or 4 to TeamViewer 5, however, is not possible for technical and licensing reasons.
